I mean, although I would love to go to Sephora and spend all my salary on ignorance which I don’t need, I must admit that there is something more satisfying to speak through my pantry and drop my products. And although there are many recipes, uh, ~ incomplete recipes ~ I promise to give – hey, lemon juice and baking soda masks – but there is one treatment I like: DIY coffee therapy.
Ground coffee is a wonderful supplement and super effective, and thanks to the fact that it is full of caffeine, it can also temporarily tighten the skin. “Caffeine can also dissolve fat cells to burn out, making things like cellulite a little less obvious,” Yale associate dentist Mona Gohara, MD.

The easiest DIY coffee scrub recipe
Look, there are many DIY coffee treatments out there, but I’m personally a fan of this simple YouTuber Abetweene recipe. You only need four basic ingredients (which I’m going to start and I think you already have) and, like, two minutes of preparation. Make sure those ingredients are with you before we commence.
Easy DIY Coffee Scrub – Ingredients
- 1¼ cup ground coffee
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup almond oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch

First step: mix almond oil, sugar and ground coffee in a small bowl.
Second step: to add consistency, remove the cornstarch and mix with a spatula until all the ingredients are mixed. You should have a thick, brown mixture.
Step 3: Scoop a small quantity of the scrub into your mason jar and tighten the lid until you are ready to use it.
Fourth step: Scoop little quantity from the jar and apply on clean damp skin and scrub in a circular motion. Rinse the formula thoroughly and follow with moisturizing lotion.
Pro tip: Coffee particles are not something you want in your shower drain (just clean it with a washcloth).
